In addition to the projects below, Ms. McShepard has extensive background in commercial and graphic arts, some of her commissioned corporate art clients include the U.S. Marine Corps, California First Bank (NKA Union Bank), Kaiser Hospital, several book cover designs (most recently Black History for Children available at Barnes and Noble & Amazon and Inside the Fall by San Francisco author Terry Hill), and a host of restaurant menu designs and interior art installations for both businesses and individuals.
She has also been featured in the California’s Contra Costa Times “weekend” section and the Style Section of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Bloomers Cafe – El Sobrante, CA
This commission was a 5-piece splash for the opening of a new Cafe. The theme Bloomers was two-fold. It was the costume/uniform, but also implied that the cliental was composed primarily of “Late Bloomers.” A bit of a play on words. It was challenging to create a cafe sign, banner and imagery that could be used for menus, napkins, wall art, etc. for the cafe.

Black History – Great Kings and Queens of Africa Book Cover
This was one of my favorite commission projects. It involved months of extensive research. It was a 30-piece collection of portraits of the most notable kings and queens of Africa for a Black History book for children.

The Historic Rose Garden Inn Hotel, Berkeley, CA 2010 – 2011
3000 square foot outside courtyard mural project at the historic landmark hotel. Single artist in residence for more than a year. This project is one of the largest single artist murals in the San Francisco Bay Area by a single female artist.
