Painting skies and clouds is one of my favorite subjects because it allows me to capture the ever-changing beauty of nature. I love how the colors shift throughout the day, from the soft pastels of dawn to the vibrant hues of sunset. When I paint clouds, I focus on their texture and movement, trying to convey the feeling of lightness and airiness. I often use a variety of subtle colors and brush techniques to create depth and dimension, making the sky feel alive. The challenge for me lies in balancing the colors and ensuring that the clouds look realistic yet ethereal. I find that often throughout the day, I am captivated by the way the clouds move against the different hues of blue. I can stare at the sky for what seems like hours. So, each painting becomes a moment frozen in time, allowing viewers to pause and appreciate the beauty above.
